ASTM F963

In today's article, we will talk about toy production standards. We will refer to the two most commonly used standards. The first of these is ASTM International's World - Renowned Toy Safety Standard (ASTM F963). The other is the European Union standard En 71. Quality Standards Definition:

  Quality standards are the complete set of documents describing or defining the characteristics of the product, process or service that must be owned by them. The standards ensure that the manufacturer keeps the production process under control and protects the health of the consumer.

ASTM F963 :

  ASTM updates its data regularly in order to regulate the hazards, new toys and new data that may arise. ASTM has more than a thousand members. These consist of producers, retailers, child safety groups, medical experts, child development experts and consumers. ASTM  develop standards for many products including childiren's products, toys, play ground equipment, candles and pool safety.
